Legislature Passes 2006-07 State Budget on Time

On Tuesday night, June 27, the State Assembly and Senate passed a record $131 billion state budget. Compared to some prior budget sessions which have lasted well into the morning, on Tuesday night, this one passed before midnight, which was the earliest that a budget consensus has been reached.
