Hurricane Katrina Relief Opportunities |
Postal Plus, in Granada Hills is
providing free packing and shipping of supplies to the victims of Hurricane
Katrina.
Postal Plus, located at 11024 Balboa Blvd. in Granada Hills will pack & ship
all donated supplies, free of charge, to an affiliated pack and ship store to
Baker, Louisiana, a suburb of Baton Rouge, about 100 miles from New Orleans.
The store will then distribute the supplies to Bethany World Prayer Center
in Baton Rouge to help the hurricane victims. Bethany World Prayer
Center is expecting to house 650 very soon. These people need clothing and
food.
The most needed items are:
Canned and/or non-perishable food; Baby food/formula/bottles; Baby wipes;
Blankets; Pillows; Sheets; Bottled water; Batteries; Flashlights; Diapers;
Toiletries-toothpaste, deodorant, etc.; First aid kits/supplies; Over the
counter medicines (sealed/new); Soap; Shampoo; Feminine products; Small
games/toys/crayons/coloring books for children; Pre-paid phone cards;
Pens/pencils/paper; Clothing; Shoes; Waterless hand cleaner; Ziploc bags;
Pet food; Towels; Snacks-cheese/peanut butter crackers/candy/cookies; Adult
depends
